More web construction

Filed under: Computers, General, Hobbies, Numismatics — Jim @ 11:38 am

I’ve been busy again. This time remodeling another of my websites: www.CoinShowDates.com

It is a site I created a couple of years ago that lists upcoming coin shows based on where you click on a map of the US. It is driven by MySQL and PHP coding. In the past, I had to enter all the info about the coinshows. Now it is setup to allow the show promotors to be able to update their own information. Give it a try: www.CoinShowDates.com

Rape at Duke University in Durham

Filed under: Complaints, General — Jim @ 11:21 am

It is now a month after a team party where 40+ members of the Duke lacrosse team had hired a female exotic dancer to perform. After the party the dancer made claims that she had been raped by at least 3 of the party goers. Durham police collected DNA samples from all members of the team and now the results are in … NO MATCHES. The DNA samples collected from the woman were not from any attendees of the party.

Durham police were depending on the DNA to point out the guilty parties since the victim can’t (or won’t) identify anyone. Out of 40+ attendees all state that no such rape took place. They also have photos of the dancer taken when she arrived showing that she had been in a fight of some sort and had a few cuts. This one is looking more and more like the woman made up the story.

The team’s entire season of lacrosse was canceled. The coach of the lacrosse team was forced to resign. If this woman is not telling the whole truth, she needs some severe punishment! If she was raped … the guilty need to be found and punished. But regardless, the lacrosse team needs to receive an apology from the entire city of Durham and from Duke University for assuming them guilty!

Finally!

Filed under: Computers, General, Photography — Jim @ 7:18 pm

Well I’ve been sort of ignoring my blog for the last few weeks as I’ve been working on a couple of other websites and I can only take so much computer stuff in at one time. But at last I’ve got one of them under control … not finished by a long shot but it is up and running.

It’s a site for and about photography, check it out if you like at: www.jseaman.com
