Nifong Disbarred
Mike Nifong (former DA that brought rape charges against some Duke Lacrosse players) was today disbarred from practicing law in NC. He had already resigned as DA for Durham county.
This was a very good thing. As a DA he is protected from suits from those harmed by his actions but at least he is being punished in the only way the legal system allows. The rest of the punishment will have to come from his conscience … if he has one.
